Bundelkhand University Surging Forward into the New Millenium….

"I view education to be a part of the larger scene and I think its main function is to teach people to be students all their lives, to keep not only their ears and eyes open but their minds and hearts open to new ideas, to fresh thoughts, those that come from outside and also to have the capacity to create themselves" Indira Gandhi (December 17,1983).

Education opens up the heart and mind of the young and the old alike so that one can communicate and live in harmony and peace. Mahatama Gandhi advocated for an education system, which leads to self reliance, self control and dignity of labour which was consistent with our vedic philosophy wherein emphasis was always for the search for truth. Academic institutions are true temples of learning to serve the humanity through knowledge, wisdom and the values bearing the imprint of both religion and society. Higher education in India is offered in a variety of institutions, which are coordinated by several statuary agencies created by both the Central as well as the State Governments.
