INSTITUTE OF COMPUTERS SYSTEM SCIENCES
Mission: Computer education &
research to keep pace with the most advanced Technology.
Objectives:
|
-
|
to
use mathematical principles and knowledge to develop better
understanding of computer & system sciences. |
|
-
|
to
create strong awareness for the acquisition of computer skills
and training. |
|
-
|
to
find solutions to new problems. |
|
-
|
to
develop new utility software and packages. |
|
-
|
to
work extensively for innovative & creative utility of computers. |
|
-
|
to
develop teaching, administrative and research skills. |
|
-
|
to
have greater appreciation for computer science. |
The
Institute is aiming to achieve a paper less teaching concept where
there is no need to buy books, pen and workbook and the education
and research is exclusively based on e-books or DVD (digital video
display). The Institute of Computer & System Sciences aspires to
innovate leadership in preparing men and women for meaningful work,
lifelong learning and responsible participation in a new and dynamic
information age.
The
Institute apart from imparting education in the computing disciplines,
strives to support and spread computer education and awareness by
way of providing general computer education for all the students,
and continuing computer education for the community. The last decade
has witnessed a very rapid change in computer technology, both in
software and hardware. The academic programs of the Institute, in
order to keep pace with the developments, have been conceived upon
a strong foundation in the art and science of computers, emphasizing
on state of art theoretical and practical knowledge in computing
discipline. An optimal mix as well as tailor made academic programs,
as per the requirements of industries, have been designed and launched
in the Institute. At the same time, academic programs are responsive
to the rapid changes in technology.
The
Institute is founded in creative response to the educational challenges
and opportunities inherent in the emerging disciplines, and is characterized
by such core values, like:
|
-
|
Excellent
teaching, scholarship, professional practice and community service. |
|
-
|
The
integration of theory and practice in teaching and scholarly
activity. |
|
-
|
Creative
programs and partnerships with the local and global community.
|
|
-
|
Attentiveness
to professional and social responsibility. |
The
courses offered by the Institute provide a wide spectrum of choices
covering different areas of Computer and System Sciences including
Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Programming, Languages, Operating
Systems, DBMS, Artificial Intelligence and Operation Research.
In
addition, Institute is focusing on the software development in collaboration
with Government, R&D agencies and industries. The Institute has
planned a massive program for computer literacy for the masses living
in villages of Bundelkhand region. Short-term programs on emerging
trends in computer technology shall also be organized. It is also
proposed to have tailor made computer educational program for working
persons in industries and other establishments.
