DEPARTMENT OF DENTAL SCIENCES
Mission: To prepare trained manpower for
dental medicine and surgery, and also equip them to complete globally.
Objectives: The main
obejectives of dental sciences are:
1. To provide state of art theoretical and prectical
knowledge to the students.
2. To emphesize on creating awareness to protect the teeth from
decay.
3. To mordernize and upgrade the curriculam periodically.
4. To work extensively for automation and coputer aided solutions
for dental care.
5. To have greater appreciation and computer aided solutions for
denat care.
6. To develop teaching, laboratory and reserch skill on the various
aspect of dental science.
The importance of dental care can be judged by the
fact that it has now emarged as a specialized and sepreate branch
of medical science. The hospital and nursing home has created a
very high demand for the trained manpower in the field of dental
medicines and surgery. Bundelkhand University has established School
of Dental Science to train manpower in the state of the art education,
skill and training. The convntional methodology in the field is
gradually by the introduction of highly sophisticated elctronics
gadget and computer aided monitor of patient. Reserch and Development
of new materials in the dentisty has completely changed the profession.Bundelkhand
University has established Institute of Dental Sciences to cater
to the professional requirements of this vastly growing area.
The Institute shall endeavor to train manpower in
the fast growing area of dental science, with focus on upgradation
of skills and assessment of ever changing trends in dentistry. Latest
trends in the area would be explored by sharing of knowledge through
participation in seminars and conferences. In addition, the Institute
shall focus on taking up research projects in various aspects of
study and training.
