DEPARTMENT OF NURSING
Mission: To provide
state of art education most modern skills and up-to-date hands-on
training to develop clinical competence and quality care to the
profession of nursing.
Objectives: The main
objectives of school of Nursing are:
1. To provide sound foudation for study and research
in the field of nurshing care.
2. To create strong awareness to protect the human lie.
3. To device new and innovative to protect the human life.
4. To work for the automation and computer aided nursing care.
5. To develop teaching, administrative and research skills.
6. To have greater appreciation for the profession.
Emergence of private hospitals and nursing homes
have created a very high demand for trained manpower in the field
of nursing. Bundelkhand University has taken instant steps to establish
an Institute of nursing to provide suitable opportunities for education
and training in the art of nursing care. The conventional methodology
in the field is gradually replaced by the introduction of highly
sophisticated electronic gadgets and computer aided monitoring of
patients. As the nursing profession has entered into an era advanced
knowledge of medicine and high-tech clinical equipment /operations
quality training in field has become all the more important.
The Institute of nursing has devised course structure
for its academic program that is relevant with the time and high-tech
in nature. It shall have in situ practical training not only in
the hospitals but hands on practical training on sophisticated medical
instruments, as well. A specialized capsule on behavioral htmlects
is also given during the course of study.
The Institute shall prepare trained manpower in
the field of nursing for this millennium and shall also focus on
continuous assessment and up-gradation of skills. Organization and
participation in the seminars and conferences on the emerging areas
of nursing care shall be encouraged. In addition, the Institute
shall focus on taking-up research projects on various htmlects of
nursing.
